Autism Support Services

TILL’s Autism Support Services offers comprehensive services in the Metro Boston Area to families with children ages 3-18 diagnosed with Autism. Our mission is to provide support services to families which will strengthen the family unit. Included in these services are: school, home and community programs; alternative therapies, resources, trainings and lectures; as well as innovative classes tailored to the specific needs of each family served. Our goal is to provide greater social and community integration for the children, as well as providing the parents with the skills necessary to deal with the daily challenges of raising a child with a disability.

TILL provides services to children and adults with autism throughout Eastern and Central Massachusetts. TILL also works directly with many school systems.

TILL/BFA Affiliation

TILL (Toward Independent Living and Learning) is pleased to announce its affiliation with BFA (Boston Families for Autism). BFA began in 1999 with a mission to provide local services to families with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). They have provided valuable recreational, resource and support services to many families through outreach and networking throughout the Boston community and schools. The combination of BFA and TILL's expertise in providing family support, therapeutic recreation and social activities will result in an ever growing range of services in the greater Boston area.

We welcome BFA as an affiliate organization administered through TILL and look forward to the many new exciting opportunities for growth which this merger will produce.

The TILL/BFA affiliation will be expanding its services with the funding and support of DMR's new Autism Spectrum Division. As TILL's Metro Boston Autism Support Services, we want to identify children in the area who are on the autism spectrum. Please contact us if your child needs to go through the intake and eligibility process. We can send you the necessary information and answer any questions you may have.

Types of Supports

Home VisitsOur Autism Center can provide support where families need it the most, at their home. At the family’s request we can arrange home visits in order to help parents best understand their child in his/her own environment. A home assessment is performed and recommendations for the family's use are developed.

School Consultation At family or school request, our staff can visit children at their school, observe them and give a list of helpful recommendations to be implemented throughout the child’s school day. This service also can address transportation/transition problems from home to school, IEP goals, etc.

Autism Intensive Family Support – This service provides behavioral consultation for families who are experiencing difficulties with their children on a daily basis. Our consultants come for 3 months to the family home to assist parents with the development of behavioral techniques, activity of daily living skills, and social skills for their child.
