Springboard
A unique social club for adolescents and adults with learning disabilities, Asperger's Syndrome, and other unspecified mental health needs. Through this welcoming, supportive environment, members build confidence, expand upon their social life and develop new interests. Long-term friendships and in several cases, marriages, have been formed thanks to Springboard's connections. Started by families who were frustrated with the lack of opportunities for their children to meet others, and to learn how to make connections and social plans rather than having someone arrange it all for them, Springboard has become an invaluable support to so many. TILL took on Springboard in 2000 and worked in collaboration with families to ensure that their dream and vision would continue. Today Springboard boasts a membership of over 170. It is truly a club membership in which members take responsibility for planning their activities, for payment for them, and for continuing the friendships and interests outside of the club's activities. It has truly become an entrée into a full and enriched lifestyle for so many. Watch our Springboard video and learn why families and members alike say they don't' know what they would have done without Springboard.
Staff has access to the professional services of TILL's Resource Team, which consists of occupational, physical, and behavioral therapists, psychologists, nurses, and speech and language therapists. All staff is trained in behavior management and certified in CPR and First Aid. Springboard Activities & Events

"Our children were lonely before we started Springboard as parents. Since TILL has taken it over, it is a growing, thriving social club. Our children learn responsibility, and how to make friends and plan for their own entertainment instead of expecting us to entertain them." Alma, Springboard founding parent ![]() ![]() ![]() |
