Residential Counselor
Description
TILL provides essential support to adults with developmental disabilities, learning differences, acquired brain injury, and other specialized needs through a wide range of housing options, from structured, staffed, small group living to individualized support options.
Responsibilities
• Assist adults with Intellectual Disabilities with ADLs, self-help, and socialization
• Drive to and participate in recreational events and doctors’ appointments when necessary
• Maintain progress notes and records corresponding to ISP
• Develop new and enhance old community resources to enhance the individual’s experience outside of the home
Qualifications
• A BA/BS in human service, psychology, sociology, special education or related field is preferred. At least one year experience working with ASD and behavioral interventions
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• A valid driver's license is required
• Must possess good written and verbal skills to effectively communicate individual needs and objectives
• Medication Certification, CPR and First Aid training are a condition of employment
