Description
TILL provides essential support to adults with developmental disabilities, learning differences, acquired brain injury, and other specialized needs through a wide range of housing options, from structured, staffed, small group living to individualized support options. We are seeking an energetic, creative, and motivated individual with a passion for the performing arts, visual arts, filmmaking, or community engagement to lead an innovative mobile day program in the Maynard area. This position is responsible for developing and overseeing engaging, community-based activities in partnership with the Maynard Fine Arts Theatre and TILL Farms, while managing daily program operations, staff coordination, administrative responsibilities, and the implementation of individualized support plans. The ideal candidate will create meaningful opportunities that promote independence, skill development, employment exploration, social connections, and enriching experiences for program participants.
Schedule
This is a full-time position from Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Create an environment conducive to learning and the acquisition of skills.
- Manage enrollment of individuals to maintain capacity and encourage regular attendance.
- Coordinate a mobile program with a focus on the development of vocational skills through real world experience in businesses, including the Maynard Fine Arts Theater and Creamery, TILL Farm, Maynard High School, and other community locations.
- Develop community contacts to further the development of the program’s community experience.
- Supervise TILL on the Go staff, consulting instructors, and volunteers.
- Plan schedules and assign all staff to meet the needs of participants. Ensure required levels of support are provided.
- Ensure administrative and participant records are complete and meet licensing and certification requirements.
- Participate in required social services and state licensing training; follow all policies and procedures to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Oversee program finances according to policies and budget limits. Purchase (or
- authorize purchase of) program supplies.
- Develop and sustain positive relationships with individuals, families, residential staff, funding agency representatives, and community contacts.
- Serve as an advocate for all individuals enrolled and seek opportunities to help each individual develop talent, learn new skills, and flourish.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum High School diploma with three years’ experience in a position with progressive responsibilities in areas of administration, writing and implementing individual objectives, and supervision.
- BA/BS in Human Service Psychology or related field preferred.
- Must have the ability to develop and write objectives, possess good written and oral communication skills
- Experience developing teaching strategies and training staff.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are a condition of employment.
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle is required.
- This position includes providing direct care for the individuals and may include lifting, passive restraints and hand-over-hand assistance.
