DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - COMMUNITY BASED ROLE
Description
TILL provides essential support to adults with developmental disabilities, learning differences, acquired brain injury, and other specialized needs through a wide range of housing options, from structured, staffed, small group living to individualized support options. TILL Inc is seeking a reliable, compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide one to one support to a gentleman with an intellectual disability in the Rochester, NH area. This is a community-based role focused on building independence, social connection, and meaningful daily connections.
Schedule
This is a part-time position from Tuesday - Friday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. $21/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Support participation in community and recreational activities
- Assist with volunteering opportunities at local organizations
- Encourage skill-building, independence, and personal growth
- Provide companionship and ensure a safe, engaging environment
- Transport the individual to and from activities (mileage reimbursed)
- Complete daily documentation and maintain all required paperwork
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle is required.
- Good written and verbal skills to effectively communicate individual needs and objectives, as well as good interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Dependable, patient, and community-oriented mindset
- Experience in Human Services or Direct Care is preferred but not required
