Shari received her undergraduate degree from North Park University and graduate degree from Lesley University. She has worked with adults over 22 through older adults, using a blended approach, including person-centered, mindfulness, strength-based, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior therapy, and music therapy to treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, Adjustment Disorder and grief. Shari has also focused on meaningfulness and self-esteem building. In addition to being a licensed mental health counselor, she is a board-certified music therapist. She believes that creative expression can be healing and help build self-awareness, confidence, and connection to others.
