Description

TILL provides essential support to adults with developmental disabilities, learning differences, acquired brain injury, and other specialized needs through a wide range of housing options, from structured, staffed, small group living to individualized support options. Cravings Café, a vocational training program supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, is looking for an energetic, positive, and compassionate individual to join our team. We operate a busy cafe and gift shop environment where everyday is meaningful, hands-on, and rewarding. We are seeking someone who brings enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine passion for teaching and supporting others.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. $21/hr.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals in reaching their personal goals, as outlined in their ISAs
  • Teach and guide basic cooking skills including baking, portioning, packaging, labeling, and cleaning
  • Assist with deliveries to catering sites as needed
  • Work closely with a small group (3–4 individuals), ensuring safety, encouragement, and engagement
  • Support kitchen operations, including meal service and prep
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with cashiering
  • Model professionalism and positivity in all settings
  • Maintain organization, consistency, and attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older 
  • Must possess functional English written and oral communication skills to effectively express individual needs and objectives. 
  • Positive, patient, dependable, and flexible team player
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to stay calm and supportive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Human Services/IDD is required
  • Food service experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate
  • A true passion for helping others grow and succeed
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are a condition of employment. 
  • Background, DCYF, and driving record checks
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
